The international airport Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées in the southwest of France, is exactly between these two towns in the Département Hautes-Pyrénées, bordering directly on the neighbouring country Spain.

The airport Tarbes-Lourdes, is about 10 km southwest of Tarbes and 10 km northwest of Lourdes, directly on the national road N21 near the community of Ossun. By car, take the motorway A64 to exit 12 "Tarbes-Ouest" or on the N21 to the exit to the national road D7. From here, the airport is signposted.

History:

The airport is also known by the name of Tarbes-Ossun-Lourdes and was completely modernised in 1999. It has the capacity to check in up to 1.5 million passengers.

Currently Air France flies 3 times a day during the week and twice on Saturdays from Tarbes-Lourdes to Paris-Orly. During the year, more than 50 different charter airlines also use the airport in order to serve the world famous pilgrim city of Lourdes. Charter air traffic is responsible for more than 70 % of the entire traffic at the airport.
