Description:
|
Milos Airport is an important nationally operating airport in Greece. It is on the south Aegean volcanic island of the same name and belongs to the Cyclades. Due to the "Venus of Milo" the island is well known worldwide. This statue of Aphrodite has since 1821 been housed in the Louvre in Paris, but a copy can be seen in the Archaeological museum in Plaka. The airport is administered by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority, which is also responsible for monitoring Greek aerospace.
