Chios Airport is an important national commercial airport in Greece. It is on the island of the same name in the north Aegean, which at its narrowest point is only 4 miles from the Turkish coast. The island is located between Lesvos and Samos. The airport is administered by the Greek aviation authority (Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority), also responsible for monitoring Greek aerospace.
