History:
The Italian airline, Wind Jet, was established in 2003 in Catania by the football club owner Antonino Pulvirenti. Its maiden flight departed inJuly 2003 on the route from Catania to Rome. Due to favourable prices and the associated continuous growth of passengers, the airline has in the meantime become the fourth largest carrier in the country.

Wind Jet’s network of routes includes several Italian and European destinations. From the two hubs in Catania and Palermo, the airline flies regularly to Barcelona, Pisa, St. Petersburg, Bucharest, Milan, Rome and Paris amongst others.
