The English airline Silverjet was founded in 2006 in order to provide business class flights on the attractive route London-New York to compete with Eos, MAXJet and L’Avion. Its first flight took place on 12th October of the same year. The only fare was 999 GBP. Since 25th January the route London-Luton to Newark has been served twice a day. The airline is planning to acquire a slot at the busy Chicago airport by the end of 2007.
