This family run airline was founded by CEO and Director Daryl Smith. Daryl’s roots are in the logging business, but he gained his reputation through 36 years of aviation experience as a pilot and owner of several regional carriers. President Quentin Smith grew up in the aviation industry, and as a result, has a wealth of aviation experience in addition to his degrees from the University of British Columbia and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Vice Presidents Sheldon and Spencer Smith run the Northern and Southern BC Regions with management staff experienced with Air Canada, AirBC, Trans Provincial Airlines and more, while Nevil assists the maintenance department. Pacific Coastal Airlines is a well-established name on the Canadian West Coast employing over 300 people including pilots, flight attendants, engineers, dispatchers, customer service agents, and reservation, freight and office workers. Pacific Coastal operates a total of 12 bases and flies a total of 18 aircraft. For over forty years they have successfully expanded in the coastal regions of British Columbia. Pacific Coastal’s headquarters are located at the Vancouver International Airport South Terminal. The South Terminal is very efficient, designed to be a "smart terminal" for busy travelers, it features numerous benefits: reduced congestion, short check-in lineups, short walks to gates and parking. The South Terminal also features amenities such as a restaurant, gift shop, car rental services, and taxi service. Transfers to and from the Main Terminal are provided by Pacific Coastal’s own complementary walk-on shuttle service.
