The subsidiary of Thai, after obtaining the license to operate flights, took up air transport of civilian passengers on 23rd July of the following year. The Thai word Nok means "bird" and strangely enough in Persian signifies "beak", which is also the logo of the airline and is painted on all aircraft in the fleet.

The airline is also seeking to obtain take-off and landing rights for other Indian destinations Chennai, Hyderabad and Delhi.
