KYRGYZ AIR LINES IS DIVIDED INTO THREE COMPANIES. The parliamentary Legislative Assembly approved on 5 February a concept of reforming the Kyrgyz Aba Joldoru Company, prepared by the government. According to the concept, the company is divided into 3 firms which should be privatized later. The following three companies are formed on base of Kyrgyz Aba Joldoru: 1. Kyrgyz Air Navigation, which would be a completely governmental company. 2. Kyrgyz Airports, and 3. Kyrgyz Air Company. The government would have blocking stakes in the second and third companies. Communist faction in parliament voted against the concept. According to them, the Kyrgyz Aba Joldoru received a foreign loan of million but its basic capital is assessed now as million only. The company had about 130 planes and its profit was about 1 million soms (about ,000) last year. There are 12 other private air companies in the country now.
