Janet Airline is the name of a small fleet of Boeing 737 passenger aircraft owned by the defence EG & G Company. Janet airline flies about ten to twelve times a day, transporting staff from the secret terminal of McCarran Airport in Las Vegas mainly to the Nevada test site, also known as the 51st Area.
The meaning of the name of the airline "Janet" is disputed; it is not really known whether it refers to a radio call signal or to a certain code, or whether it is even an official name. One possible meaning could be that the word "Janet" is another term for "just another nonexistent terminal." Others, however, consider it an acronym for "Joint Army Navy Employee Transport", a joint project between Army and Navy to "transport" their employees.
Janet aircraft are painted red (the design of Western Airline which is no longer in operation). The airline has a total of 6 Boeing 737-200... More information about Janet
