The airline was launched in November 2002 as HMY Airways, an acronym for Harmony. It is owned by Dr. David T.K. Ho, an energetic Canadian entrepreneur who was born and raised in Hong Kong. Dr. Ho started HMY Airways after being dissatisfied with the service he experienced on other airlines. When I travel, I'm most impressed by an airline's people. After all, people are the most valuable resource inside any organization, he says. Dr. Ho received a doctorate degree in Commercial Science from the University of Richmond in Virginia.
